While we are getting ready to start our first full day scrapping at retreat, for those who can not physically join us we have a challenge for you.

In just a couple of hours we will be heading off to our Sing Along with Scrap Girls retreat at Castlereagh Academy. We have loads of exciting things planned for all our ladies coming along with us, but for those that cant physically join us you will not be missing out.

I bet there will be a lot of Thicker albums at the next retreat!

We are a day late this week......whoops!
Hoping that it's not a sign of things to come with our March Getaway happening this weekend.

Stop! Challenge time!

February's challenge was just a warm up. We've decided to keep our challenges running each month and you could easily win a prize of scrappy goodies!

To be in the draw for the prize each month there's a few things you have to do....

1.  First of all you have to be a liker on the Scrap Girls Retreats Facebook page which, of course, you already are.

2.  Complete the challenge. Different people like different challenges so we will mix them up and have a different style each month.

3.   Once you have finished, email a photo of your layout to our brand new challenge email address: scrapgirlschallenges@yahoo.com.au. Once we have received your layout we will pop it up on the Scrap Girls Retreats Facebook page Challenge Album.  We need to receive your layout no later than midnight on the last day of the month.

We know that there will be too many gorgeous layouts to pick a winner so we will draw a random winner which will be announced on the third of the month. To be part of the draw you must have completed all three steps.

March Challenge

This month's challenge is to create a layout inspired by this photo.....

You might be inspired by the Scrap Girls colours, the heart, the patterned pillows. Take some of your favourite elements and add them to your layout. The only things you MUST have on your layout are three photos AND journalling.

Complete the three challenge steps and you're in the draw.

Who doesn't love Dylusions?

I love the mess they make and the bright and vibrant colours and there is no end to their use, once you start you just cant stop.

I also love looking at youtube clips of Dyan Reaveley and what she does with her product. 

Here is just one i was watching this morning, it's using the Dylusions Ink Spray Pad.......right now i am going to get my sprays and make some mess.

To celebrate our new blog and our upcoming A Bit Sketchy March retreat we have a wonderful challenge for you all. Besides getting to work with a wonderful Page Drafts sketch, the best thing about this challenge is that we are offering a prize of scrappy goodies!

To be in the draw for the prize there's a few things you have to do....

2.   You also have to pop over to the Page Drafts Facebook page and become a liker! You'll find loads of inspiration there to help you with the next step.

3.   Complete a layout using the below Page Drafts sketch. Your layout must look as close as possible to the sketch.

We're going sketchy!!!

Inspiration galore!!!

We had such a wonderful response to our last Scrap Girls Sketchy Retreat that we've decided to do it again! A wonderful weekend filled with loads of sketchy inspiration.

This retreat we're teaming up with the very talented Em Stafrace and her Page Drafts blog.

Have you ever wondered where your mojo went walkabout to?  We usually find ours hanging out over at Page Drafts. Their sketches are amazing and the inspiration you'll get from the layouts shared will bring your mojo home where it belongs.

We're back

Hi everyone and welcome to the Scrap Girls Retreats blog.
We have been missing for a few years but 2014 is bringing some big changes for us, this being the first, and we don't want anyone to miss out.

We are still putting the finishing touches on a few retreats to come in later 2014, but here is the list of events we have booked so far:

• MARCH 2014 Getaway - 13-16 March 2014. Castlereagh Academy NSW.
• MAY 2014 Getaway - 15-18 May 2014. Castlereagh Academy NSW.
• JUNE 2014 Cropfest - 26-29 June 2014. Castlereagh Academy NSW.
